Chapter Summaries

Ephesians 1:17-18 – “…the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened…

“Theological Theorizing” – It is most interesting to see how much of the Bible has been subjected to human theorizing. There are at least as many theories of the creation account as there are of the evolution theory on the other side. Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit, Whom He called “The Spirit of Truth”, would lead us into “…all truth”, not just to the best theory! If we are to be granted “…the spirit of Wisdom and revelation”, how does that translate into a multiplicity of theories? We all declare that the Bible is, in and of itself, infinite truth. Where do any of us get off taking something that is absolute, infinite truth and proposing human theories concerning any part of it? Where, in all of the Word, does God grant anyone the privilege of theorizing on anything He has to say?

“A Perspective on Hermeneutics – or Biblical Interpretation” – We are told that none of the Scripture is up for any personal or private interpretation (II Peter 1:20 – NAS), yet we continually and without any hesitation choose to insert our own or someone else’s personal or private interpretation to virtually all of the Scriptures that we read in complete violation of this directive from the very Scripture we declare to be our final authority on all matters of faith and practice! How can it possibly be a final authority if anything it has to say is subject to anyone’s or everyone’s personal or private interpretation? Can someone please tell me how this works?

“The Oracle” – The principle that has been taught since the days of the apostles, especially Paul, of the Old Testament being and providing “types and shadows” of that which was to come in the New Testament, such as in the Passover being a type of the sacrifice of Jesus, Who has been called our “Passover Lamb”. The Tabernacle system has been understood for many centuries of Christianity to be a type of the worship of God in the Spirit, and of the steps and stages of an ever increasing and progressing relationship with the Trinity through Jesus Christ. The type here is multi-faceted and exciting. Within the Tabernacle system and the place of the High Priest in this system, we have something called in Scripture “the Urim and Thummim”. This chapter examines the type or shadow involved in this, and the term “oracle” has been given to the function of this that is in the vestments of the High Priest, as described by God to Moses, as the means by which God speaks clearly and definitively to His priest with vital information that was being sought and requested. According to the book of Hebrews we now have an improved and “better covenant” and “better promises”, etc. What might we have now that this oracle was a type of, and that is actually better than what they had? Most interesting to pursue this to it’s conclusion.

“Nebuchadnezzar’s Dream” – It is now that time in the prophetic picture that the seal spoken of in Daniel 12 must be broken, and there is no ambiguity here when God gives “…wisdom and revelation…” on the subject. Nebuchadnezzar’s dream was of an image with five distinct parts, and each part represented a kingdom or empire beginning with Babylon,  represented by the head of gold. After that came Medo-Persia represented by shoulders and arms of silver, then Greece, represented by the belly and thighs of brass. After that was the Roman Empire represented by the legs of iron, then the final world ruling kingdom at the time of the end represented by the feet and ten toes of iron mingled with brittle potters clay. Each of these other parts had also an end-time significance.

“Daniel’s Vision” – In his later years Daniel had a vision of four beasts, each one representing the same kingdom or empire as in the image of Nebuchadnezzar, but in this case one of the beasts doubled for both the Roman Empire and the final world ruling kingdom. These four beasts show up in Revelation 13 as one single beast rising up out of the sea representing a composite of these four, now, in the time of the end, it is just one beast with all the characteristics of all four in Daniel’s vision. After the angel told Daniel that each of these would have their dominion taken away but an extension of life would be granted, it has become apparent that this extension of life from all of them winds up in a single entity in the time of the end. Once the Babylon of Revelation 18 is identified for what it really represents in this end time, it would become obvious that the other three would have to be identified with the very same entity because of the composite beast. I think it will be clear, after reading all the evidence, that the USA is very evidently pictured here, which means the beast and false prophet will come to power out of this entity. I don’t think anyone can make a case for any other entity in the world fitting all the criteria the Bible presents for the launching of the “antichrist” and false prophet. In this scenario, there is only one entity within the USA that also fits every single criteria for producing both this “antichrist” and false prophet. What might that be? Read and find out, and then judge for yourself.
