Samuel R. Yuen is a 16 year old home-schooled student, who is a published author and entrepreneur. He is the President of the company, His Kids Enterprises which was launched in 2010 when he was just eleven years old.
He is the author of The Galactic Defenders: The Financial Campaign, a children’s adventure book which combines his love of superheroes with his knowledge of money. His first book, Kids Financial Study, which he wrote at ten years old, is a children’s workbook in which he shares with kids his experiences of handling money and gives them practical suggestions on how to use their money wisely.
The year 2013 was a wonderfully exciting year in the publishing world for Samuel. It started off in February with the publishing of his second book, The Galactic Defenders: The Financial Campaign, through Xulon Press.
In March, his first published book, Kids Financial Study, won the Christian Choice Book Award in the category of finances.
In May, his book, The Galactic Defenders: The Financial Campaign, was displayed at Book Expo America at Jacob K. Javits Center in NYC. His first professional book trailer was also debuted at the Expo, alongside his fellow Xulon authors. You can take a peek at it here on this website under the video tab. During the three day Expo, Samuel enjoyed signing complimentary copies of his book and taking photos with the many people that he met from around the country. The photos can be seen on his Facebook page, which is under the Social media tab. His two younger brothers, wearing Galactic Defender superhero costumes and book t-shirts, worked the crowd by handing out books, postcards and business cards. Samuel thoroughly enjoyed his first tradeshow!
