Without the following people, Christianity and Politics would never have come to fruition. From the most sincere part of my heart, I thank you for investing in me and this “assignment” God gave me! You are priceless!!

  • Thanks Mom for being my biggest cheerleader. You asked me often over the past NINE years, “Are you finished with your book?” I can finally say, “Yes, I finished my book!”

  • Thanks Tina for inspiring and moving me to figure out biblically why politics is so divisive amongst Christians. Without our conversation that fall evening, this book would not have come into existence.

  • Thank Dalayna Tillman, a law student (now graduate), for gently encouraging me to finish the book. You said you and your colleagues would sit around class discussing these issues and you would say to them, “Just hold on. Someone is writing a book that answers all these questions!”

  • Thanks Dr. Karyn E. Faber, longtime public health research scientist and health educator at NYU and dear friend, for being the only person to help edit the ORIGINAL manuscript. It was a mess, but you corrected my grammar sentence by sentence. No matter how messy the original version was, you ALWAYS encouraged me to keep going with the project.

  • Thanks RealEyesEditing!! Without you, Alyssa Miller, and being faithful to the gifts and calling of editing, I don’t know what I would have done. I prayed for a year for the Lord to bring the perfect editor my way. And He did. One day I was surfing Facebook and you announced your new business. I knew you were the one! You looked over my work and said, “Yes, I will be your editor.” For two months we went back and forth, until we were both satisfied with the product.

  • Thanks Lynn, my sister, for putting up with all of my complaints and whining over my publishing experience. You hung in there and talked me off the ledge many days!

  • Thanks Phaye Murphy for assembling my outfit for the Launch party; I looked like a million bucks! You shopped and shopped and shopped until you finally found the look you thought would be best for me. You so wanted to be at the party, but had planned a vacation with a friend.

  • Thanks Katlyne Hill Photography for taking my professional shots that I used for the book and website. Thank you also for shooting the Celebration to capture this moment. You are REALLY good at what you do and I am grateful Phaye introduced us.

  • Thanks Covenant Cuisine. Jamison Murphey is my favorite chef of all times. If you live in Atlanta and want excellent, professional catering, remember Covenant Cuisine. Jamison is wonderful!

  • Thanks Sha’ Marie Hair Salon. Shannon, you did a fabulous job with my hair for my professional shots that I used for the book and website. And your makeup artist did a bang up job on my makeup!

  • Thanks Naomi Smith, my cousin, for walking with the Lord close enough to hear His voice. One morning during a prayer sessions God showed you that I had a stubborn attitude in my life; I was struggling to trust God with something and you needed to tell me. We had not seen one another in over a year and I was not supposed to get by her home, but was delayed and went by later that morning. You shared what God showed you, I cried in repentance and three months later I was in the editing and publishing process of this book. Thank you, Naomi, for loving me enough to tell me I was carnal and I needed to confess my sin in order to move forward in my life.

  • Thanks Marketing team–Kimberly Moore, Claire Moon and Shawna Manning! Kimberly sat me down about a month ago and said, “You need help from this point on and I believe I am supposed to help you!” She was right. Claire joined the team to assist with the book exposure tour and Shawna is making sure my website is the first to pop up when you google anything related to Christianity and politics! If you had not stepped in to assist me, I would have this book, but no one would be reading it!

  • Thanks Tiffini Billingsley for opening your home and clubroom to us for the Launch Party. When you heard via my sister (and your friend) I was looking for a place to have the launch party, you immediately said we should consider this gorgeous facility. Simply beautiful 1010 Midtown, Atlanta GA!!

  • Thanks Erica Scott for the handcrafted bookmarks everyone received when they bought their book(s). They were SO beautiful and elegant. Such a precious, special touch to the evening!

  • Thanks to the host team for the Celebration—Chanell, Mahogany and Shamesia. I would have been a mess if I had to pull off all the details associated with that kind of party. Thank you for hearing what I saw in my head and making it a reality that night!

  • Thanks to my publisher, Xulon Press (Peter, Elsie, Jared, Gina, Sabine, Terry, and so many others), for fulfilling your commitment to produce a book, video trailer and website for this project. Meeting all of you at the book trade show in Orlando made this journey complete.

  • Thanks to all who bought, read and critiqued Christianity and Politics. You have encouraged me so much with your comments and insights.

  • Thanks to my family for coming for the entire weekend. You waited a long time to see this project/assignment come to pass. Thank you for always believing in me!

  • Thanks to everyone who came to the Celebration because you know and love me. And thanks to those who came because you trusted your friend would not waste your time by inviting you.

  • Last but not least, thanks Jesus for entrusting me to compile this message and present it to the Body of Christ and the world. Thank you for providing everything I needed to complete the project and move forward with marketing it!
